What are the schedules on the 1040?

What are the schedules on the 1040 form?  Which one(s) do I need to use?  The two most common forms are the Schedule A and C.

If you have enough expenses to itemize then you will need to fill out a schedule A.  This will allow you to show exact costs for medical insurance and care, property tax and interest payments on your home and deduct any gifts to charity in money, goods or services.

If you own a small business, even if it is a hobby, you probably want to fill out a schedule C.  This allows you to show the cost of conducting that business such as goods, advertising, rent, equipment rental, and utility costs.

Both forms can be rather difficult to fill out.  If you need help please give us a call.
